Abstract: This is a recording of a national teleconference hosted by NCHSD to support states in their efforts to improve their urban and rural transportation options for persons with disabilities. The call highlighted upcoming requirements in the Safe Accountable Flexible Efficient Transportation Equity Act - A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU), and examined national trends in the development of accessible transportation options for persons with disabilities.

Assistive Technology Opportunities for MIGs - Teleconference

Abstract: This is a recording of a teleconference NCHSD hosted for MIG projects to discuss ways to support employment through assistive technology initiatives. The call featured presentations describing the Tech Act in West Virginia, which is focused on programming and outreach, and the MIG AT Program in Wisconsin, which is seeking systems change in this area. Callers also shared other ideas for MIG projects to be involved in assistive technology issues in light of MIG funding restrictions on direct services.
