New Ticket to Work Toolkit from HDA & NCHSD
NCHSD and HDA created the Ticket to Work Toolkit to assist MIG grantees who want to devote time and resources into assuring effective implementation of the new Ticket to Work Program in their state. ADA Resources for Business: Reaching Out to Customers with Disabilities
Businesses have many questions about what they have to do to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The U.S. Department of Justice has developed a free electronic training course called Reaching Out to Customers with Disabilities, with ten short lessons explaining how to comply with the ADA and welcome customers with disabilities to their business. This and other ADA technical assistance resources are also available on CD-ROM through www.ada.gov.

USBLN New Workforce Conference - October 5-8
The US Business Leadership Network is holding its 11th Annual Conference and National Career Fair at the Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront Hotel on October 5-8, 2008. The theme this year is “Expanding Inclusion: The Business Strategy.” This is billed as "the preeminent national event for business, community leaders and BLN chapters that have an interest in hiring, retention and marketing to people with disabilities."

NCHSD's Guide to the 2009 Medicaid Infrastructure Grant Solicitation
NCHSD puts together this handy guide each year for states that are preparing new (competitive) Medicaid Infrastructure Grant applications. It highlights key features of the MIG program, and collects some of the strategies, tips and resources gained from our work with MIGs over the years.

This outlines a collaboration of Medicaid Infrastructure Grantees, together with state and federal partners, to undertake development of a national marketing campaign about disability and employment.
(New) Ticket to Work Regulations At-A-Glance
This At-A-Glance brief summarizes changes to the Ticket to Work program made in the new regulations recently released by the Social Security Administration. The new regulations create a payment system based on the attainment of increasing levels of employment over time that is attractive enough to entice Employment Networks to participate. The regulations also modify the interaction of the VR cost reimbursement system with the Ticket system to encourage collaboration among state VR agencies and private ENs.
